Description
Usage

OLEUR oil for wooden floors is intended for impregnation of the top layer of indoor wooden floors (including parquet). OLEUR is absorbed into the surface while maintaining the natural appearance of wood, protects the surface from dirt and effects of water, increases resistance to abrasive wear. Tinting in the RILAKOLOR system according to the COLTEC WOOD (EC Base) catalogue is possible.

Surface preparation. The wooden surface to be impregnated must be dry, free from dirt and dust. The moisture content of the wood must not exceed 10%. New wood surfaces need to be sanded beforehand. In case of multistage sanding, the first stage should be done with 80 grit sandpaper. The last sanding should be done with 120 grit sandpaper.  The air and surface temperature during application and drying of oil must be between 10°C and 25°C. Air relative humidity must not be higher than 65%.

Application (impregnation with oil).  Apply liberally the OLEUR oil for wooden floors to the surface with a brush, roller or trowel. After application, allow the oil to be absorbed for 20–25 minutes. During this time it is necessary to follow how the oil is absorbed. On areas where the oil has completely absorbed, it is necessary to apply more of the product, either from the container or by diverting it from areas where there is excess oil. If the applied oil has fully absorbed, it must be re-applied until the wood surface is completely impregnated. Not later than 20–30 minutes after impregnation of the surface with oil, it is necessary to start rubbing the oil into the wooden surface with a soft cloth or to treat the surface with a polishing machine fitted with a brown disc, evenly spreading the unabsorbed oil around the surface. The unabsorbed oil is then removed with a clean cloth. After another 2–3 hours, the surface is polished with a soft cloth or a polishing machine fitted with a red disc. When oil residue that has not been absorbed appears, it is removed again with a cloth to prevent the formation of areas with a shiny film, which will be very difficult to remove after the oil has dried. Drying time at +20 ºC is 16–20 hours. Consumption is 15–20 m²/l when treating hardwood species (such as oak) and 12–15 m²/l when treating conifers such as pine. The use of oil-impregnated floors can be started 3 days after the surface sanding and impregnation has been completed. Carpets may be laid and furniture brought in not earlier than after 1 week. Depending on the operating conditions of the floor, the re-impregnation procedure must be carried out at intervals from 6 months to 2 years.  Self-ignition of fabrics soaked with oil is possible! Therefore, they must be moistened with water and destroyed. Use white spirit or VAITSOL solvent to clean the work tools. Storage. Store in a tightly closed container, protecting from warming.
